This outage was not related to the maintenance performed earlier today. The cause for today's issue was an underlying AWS hardware issue that required a restart of one of the virtual servers that host a core Bluzone infrastructure component. Today's maintenance was scheduled around the AWS restart notification and the server was proactively restarted to avoid an unexpected restart from AWS infrastructure.
